BASIC OBEDIENCE
THE BASIC OBEDIENCE PROGRAM
Our Basic Obedience Course has a strong foundation for AKC competition trials. This is an On-Leash Course. In this program the dog will learn:
- Heel
- Sit
- "Sit-Stay" - for 1 minute
- Down
- "Down-Stay" - for 3 minutes
- Figure Eight & Recall
PROGRAM DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
- This program is for dogs ages two months and up.
- The program is held twice a week for 5 weeks or 10 consecutive lessons back to back.

DISTRACTION WORK
- Here at K9 Academy we work control exercises as well. We develop this in our FOCUS AND ATTENTION program. This part of the training is where the dogs' entire existence revolves around giving his undivided attention to his handler.
